A time of great change is upon us. Flocks of Amazar Avians are gathering. They wing through a mystic forest and rise from Forever Gardens carrying a message of hope and sharing tales of wonder and promise.

3D Leather Landscape and Forever Garden wall sculpture.

My landscape wall sculptures take on a life of their own as they are paired with Amazar Avians to tell a tale or interact with a collectors home environment. They often evolve before they leave the studio. Here is a great example.

An Amazar Long Beak Hummer sings out to all who will listen as it soars along the edge of an Aspen Grove. It had visited here years ago and planted seeds of hope. “Embrace the past and envision a better tomorrow” it sings. “ New treasures can await you on journeys down well worn paths.”

As an artist, bringing new life to an early vision is welcome challenge. With the addition of a newly hatched Avian, cultivated clusters of crystal blooms, earth elements and grasses a new tale takes wing.

In the fall of 2020, revisiting a group of my early works this landscape titled ,“White Feathers – Letting Go” called out to be re-envisioned. I could clearly see beyond the simple landscape that I once thought complete. It still held the essence of a concept worth sharing and I pondered ways to bring new life into it. I pealed off the original feathers to free up the original imagery for use as a background. To create more depth I decided to add multiple layers of new forestation. During the next few weeks I fabricated and cultivated groves of trees. Then grew and planted outcroppings of crystal blooms and grasses around ancient stones and earth elements to reconfigured the original landscape into a new mystic Forever Garden. A newly hatched white Rainbow Beak Amazar Avian now emerges from the forest. It’s released a sacred magical tail feather which has floated down to be discovered by a wandering stranger. And a new Amazar Tale has begun to take wing.

The landscape has served as a stage for numerous Amazar Tales. Here it’s pictured populated with a flock of Amazar Avians on a mission to spread their message.
