The Artist
About the Artist
Award winning sculptor Ron Isaacson has exhibited professionally in juried exhibitions & galleries for over 50 yrs. Over the past 35 years he has focused on creating sculptural works that incorporate recycled & repurposed materials. His Amazar Avian series and other recent works from his Evergreen, Colorado Studio, Unbound Leathers ©, explore the nature and textures of recycled leathers and are manafest in the creation of Amazar Tales©.
Talking with the Artist, he’s proud to note: – “I do not condone the taking of an animals’ life for commercial use. Yet, like many who believe in animal rights. I see no honor given to the sacrifice made, by discarding the hide when it is no longer desired for use in it’s current form. In recycling leather into timeless artforms I pay homage to that life.”
The Amazar Avians, Forever Gardens, Leather Landscapes, Ceremonial Feathers and other major art works combine found objects and leathers rescued from 100’s of discarded, damaged, recycled/repurposed vintage leathers salvaged from worn leather garments and discarded leather furnishings.
His Avians and other artful creations are available for adoption.
